Star anise essential oil has a characteristic licorice scent with a rich, sweet aroma. It is classified as a top note in botanical perfumery and blends well with rose, lavender, and orange essential oils.
Among its main properties are antiseptic, anti-infectious, respiratory, antispasmodic, digestive, repellent, emollient, moisturizing, carminative, diuretic and emmenagogue, relaxing, etc.
