Eugenol basically is allylchain substituted guaiacol and mainly belongs to group family of allyl benzene class. It is secluded or extracted from several essential oils especially from clove, bay leaf , nutmeg and further more. Coming to it’s smell and appearance , then, it has colourless liquid like appearance and sometimes pale yellowish colour. It has a smell of spicy clove like aroma. It has a chemical formula C10H12O2 and has boiling point of over 254°C. Due to being enriched with clove oil, it has a gentle effect and acts as a best source of anesthetic and antiseptic activities. It has several properties like, anti inflammatory, anti bacterial, anti fungal agents in it. It is less irritation in nature.
