Amyris essential oil has a gentle, sweet, woody aroma with light balsamic notes. It is called “West Indian Sandalwood ” for its scent which recalls real sandalwood even if it does not have the same depth and character.

It has the property of fixing other essential oils, to relax the mind, to help relieve stress and anxiety. It is also said to lift the mood and to have an aphrodisiac effect similar to that of vetiver and patchouli.
